My machine has been sewing fine(except for operator error) now I am sure it is another operator error thing again, but I am getting needle breaks, the needle is hitting the rotator hook. I am sure I messed something up when I did the hook maint. All I did was blow it out with can air and put a drop of oil on it.

Did you by chance take the needle plate off as well? Did you make sure the needle plate was on straight and the needle goes down the center of the hole in the plate?
Not a tech but just a thought...
