  • can't get ip adress for AMAYA

today as i opened my computer and turned on AMAYA suddenly i can't get pass the message that i have an ip adress problem. everything i tried- turning off the AMAYA, restarting the computer, fixing the connection - nothing works. the machine is connected directly to the computer with nwetwork cable (new, just bought it).
the icon of the network suggests it is a limmited connection - does it mean anything? yesterday it said the same but it still worked just fine. please help.

Does the Amaya OS screen remain Grey or does it turn white with a hoop?

You may need to check your network bindings. Go to Control Panel, Network Connections, choose your 10/100 ethernet card, properties, uncheck all the boxes in "this connection uses the following items". Then go to configure "Speed & Duplex" should be set to 10Mbs Half Duplex, then go to Power Management and verify that the ethernet card is not set to conserve power.

Our Amaya OS screen remains gray until we turn the Amaya itself on-and you are not supposed to turn it on until the OS is initialized (starting up). Then it waits until it 'sees' the Amaya itself and the program window comes on line. Then we see the hoop, etc.
