  • SlimLine frames

I have been successfully using the SlimLine frames that came with my machine but since there were NO instructions with them, I have a question on when to use which top frame. There are 2: one yellow and flat, the other metal colored and curved at the inside edges.

I've only use my yellow top frame, but use the metal colored top frame on thinner more delicate material.

We were also confused until Rod and Sharon stopped by...they told us don't bother with the flat yellow one. Look at the steel one with the curves-as it clamps down, it slightly wraps the material onto the gripping edge-holds it very secure with less chance of slipping. So that's all we have ever used since!
I also put a piece of masking tape around all four top edges-so I can use a marking pen to place 'register' marks for fast lineups-like where the buttons or hem is on polos, lining up other details on tote bags or something to keep them all straight.
Just change the tape as needed to get a 'clean' writing surface.
