• Design sews twice, second time in new spot

Hi,

We have Amaya XT's. About three times now we have had this issue. the design sews fine. Then instead of ending it starts the design over again, but this time it has moved the design down about 1/2 inch. So if we don't catch this we have a mess. Only happens a few times. Always seems to happen when someone gives us their personal item to sew.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Hi Steve-

This was a problem with designs that were digitized with 3rd party (non-Melco) software.

Upgrade your Melco software and the problem will go away. I *think* the upgrade is free, but am not completely sure about that.

Hi,

Thanks,

We are doing a three letter monogram with "Custom Script" which is a Melco Font.
We also have the lastest OS and Design Sho Pro +.

I did figure out that it is something to do with this font. If I open that file and send it, it will keep sewing that three letter monogram over and over and over. So I deleted the file I was using. I like to save a monogram and just open that file and change the letters. So I deleted this one and will create it again and see what happens.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. It didn't happen all of the time though. I called tech support and they e-mailed me a patch that I needed to download to the program. They talked me through it every step of the way. It corrected the problem right away. It ended up being something with the software.

What is your RSA version?

This shouldn't be happening if the design came from Design Shop (maybe you found something new?).

Try adding a color change to the very end of the design.

We had this happen last night for the first time. If we sew the design the same size that is was digitized in, then it works fine and only runs once.

If we try to change the size (ie. go down 15-20%) then run the design, then it sews multiple designs about 1/2 inch down each time. Very frustrating.

Steve,

I had that problem too. I did the same thing as Sharon and got a patch from Melco for my RSA files and it fixed it.

I just spoke with Melco technical support and they said there are no patches for version 7.00.112. Suggested I go into SETTINGS > THREAD FEED > and change the AUTOFEED LOWER LIMIT from "1" to a higher number like 6 or 7 for caps. Anyone know anymore about this setting?

You need to go through Software support. The guy that I talked to from tech support transfered me over to software. I have the download if you want to e-mail me privately but I don't remember for the life of me if I had to do any resets after the download.
