  • Help! machine detached in the middle of a stitch-out

Toward the end of stitching a gym bag, my machine, while still on detached from the computer. What do I do. I left machine on and hit emergency stop. I am afraid the bag will be ruined.

I hope you've been helped by now but if not, first try turning the emergency stop back on...sometimes it will reset and all will be well. If not, there are a couple of things that can save the bag. First if you did not move the hoop before starting to stitch, note the stitch number. If you did move the hoop before stitching, go to Tools, Options, Ethernet and make sure the Force Download box is UNchecked. Then you can go ahead and turn the machine off and then back on. (You have of course double-checked your physical cable connections to make sure everything is ok.) The machine should return to its last stitch in the exact position and ready to sew. If you trimmed the thread, you might want to go back a few stitches as no lock stitch will be placed. Good Luck!
