Needles turn the correct way

I know there has been discussion on the correct way the needles need to be installed - straight forward vs. 5-20 degrees to the right. I have the Big Red Amaya (only for 1-1/2 mos.) but I had numerous false bobbin thread breaks. Last night I broke a needle and replaced it. Then I had thread fraying. So I turned the needle 5 degrees to the right - it worked perfectly. I since have turned all the needles that way and low and behold I have had no more false bobbin thread breakers- I can enjoy embroiderying again.

I am not a tech but in my experience, the "straight ahead" needle placement works best for a perfectly timed machine.

On the other hand if a machine is even just slightly out of time, then a slight twist to the right is a better choice.

In our case, the needles are installed with a slight twist to the right and that is the way the machine likes it.

In training, and every time a tech has come up, the needles are always set with the slight twist. Any time we get false breaks or thread fraying-it is 90% sure to be a needle that was replaced without enough twist to it.
Must have something to do with rubbing on the rotary hook or something down in there-twisting it slightly must keep the thread from rubbing on something.
