Machine isn't tracing.

Hello, Any ideas why this morning my Amaya XT won't trace the design when I press the 2 buttons ? Every thing else seems to be working on the machine.

we get that once in awhile...seems the amaya is tempermental.
If you don't happen to have the color selection window open by mistake (or any window for commands, etc.) then try using the pull down command in the program. Usually that's all we have to do, once...and from then on no problem.

Under the command drop down, I see the 'trace design' but the words are lightened and it's not an option to click on. Did have to use the E stop, maybe I need to reset it and how is that done ?

Try to return to origin and then you should be able to trace or reset will do it. Mine do this from time to time and usually you can do it from the computer and if not then I return to origin or reset the design.

You have to turn the e stop back to start it up again!
duh....forgot to ask about that.
I'll bet when you turn the knob the machine sits up and begs to
start again...and tracing should be no problem.
Why did you use the estop?

Reset did the trick, thank you ! Had the 'Y timeout error' so did a search on these boards and one reply was to hit the E stop and it should be corrected.
