Sorry I can't answer you on the false thead breaks, but each morning I get false bobbin breaks for the first 2-3 shirts I work on, then it staightens itself out and works much better the rest of the day...just first thing in the morning gives me problems. While on the topic, any ideas what could cause that?Janet
Fabrications by design, Inc.
269-273-8495
[email protected]

Before 'auto tension' we had this a lot...and finally figured out it was either too little tension on the thread, bobbin tension too loose, or the presser foot was up too high.
Any one of these can cause the thread to go slack.
Your 'sensor' for this is inside the silver bar the thread goes around just under the needle lever...carefully, gently, make sure that is clean, and using your fingers just rotate the silver bar part way around. A tech had me do this-no idea what it does, but it fixed it!
That was after checking the other 3 things and we still got false breaks. Now we spin that every once in awhile 'just because' and we have not had any more problems.

It's the silver 'tube' the thread goes down and around and back up to the take up arm...it will rotate...just give it a little turn.
Do NOT force it if it doesn't want to move...I don't know if anything changed on the XT's, this is on the original big red.

Don't take this the wrong way, but if you are still under warranty you should be calling Denver!!!! They are open right now as we speak. They have a protocol that they go through for specific problems. If it were a weekend or after hours than I can understand coming to the board for help, but I would call Denver.
