  • thread caught in white gear

Had a hard thread break (forgot to put the bobbin in!#*!) and some thread back wound around the white gear under the red feed wheel. How do you get this out? My first effort at a pull just broke the thread off! Help

I would lift the roller, pop off the black cover, take out the wheel, get the thread, curse as I reassemble, and vow to not forget my bobbin again until at least tomorrow...

I use a #11 blade Xacto knife and by using the back side of the blade run back and forth across the thread area it will loosen up segments of the thread so it can be pulled out...takes time....the alternitive is to call a tech have them dismantle the threadfeed assembly, clean it out and reassemble .....

I use a dental pick that can be purchased at most drug stores. It contains a sharp pointed pick and a sharp pick and small mirror.
        Works great
