We purchased them and are using them on an XT (sold as compatible). However, we have had consistent issues with the adjustment of the driver to our machine. We are having alot of "skipped" stitches on sew-outs and we hear it "binding" often. It does not move well up and down the shaft. I've talked to tech support multiple times and we're still not satisfied with the performance. I'm actually waiting on Tech Support to open because I've scrapped out multiple hats this morning already. The cap frames themselves are AWESOME. The associated driver is not recommended.

That's a big fat bummer! Thanks for the input though! I was hoping for the thumbs up![email protected]<br />Samme Engelson

Erin,
Do you have the wings installed on the cap driver? If so check to make sure that the bracket that holds the wings in place to the inside of the driver is not rubbing against the the white rollers. I have the new style cap driver that I often Demo to customers that are considering upgrading. The registration is much better as well. there must be something being overlooked in the set up / alignment.

We removed the wings at the suggestion of our salesman shortly after we bought the set. They did interfere with some of our designs. We've gone through set-up and alignment multiple times - it will work fine for a few hats and then we start having binding issues. Our machine is a few weeks out of warranty and we tried multiple times calling Melco Tech support yesterday and kept getting error messages when we entered our credit card for the 0.95/min charge. We kept getting in the middle of loops of messages and couldn't even get the operator to pick up. Quite frustrating!
