Ok, here is a new one to add to my last posting. Removed OS reinstalled OS and am still getting this error message: Ethernet communications did not start correctly, please restart computer.

I have restarted the computer 15 million times ok not that many but sure does seem like it and it still will not open OS...Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

    Anyone else have this problem?

Tina- sounds like Amaya OS is looking to communicate with your machine but can't due to lost ethernet connection. Always start with the simple stuff: check your network cable from PC to Amaya (unplugged? broken? loose? ran it over?). If in doubt, replace it (has to be a crossover cable).
If that all looks okay, then you could try on the PC: right-click on "My Computer," select "Hardware" tab, then select "Device Manager." Under "Network Adapters" find the one attached to the Amaya. It may show an error condition but maybe not. Try right-clicking the adapter, choose disable, exit, and reboot. When you are running again, follow the same steps but this time, enable the card. You could also have the Amaya powered on to observe the connection coming back online (usually an icon on the PC, or "show all connections" to see it).
Perhaps this will help reload the communications software for the card. If the problem is in your Amaya, it won't do a thing!

Tina, When my Amaya and computer would not talk to each other (basically OS would not come up on computer) I called tech support in Denver and a tech walked me through the registry. He deleted a couple things and in no time it was back up and I was sewing again. It's a proceedure you would never want to do on your own, however. Debbie
