  • help for sewing on 1x1 fabric

I'm attempting to sew a fairly solid design on the left chest. The design is 9600 stitches, measures about 2.8" x 2.75". It is a dog's head. Sewn this design on many fabrics before, but first sew out on the 1x1 rib knit fabric, looks decent from a non-puckering, however, the red fabric of the shirt is showing through the whites in the hair of the dog. So figure need more underlay but how do I keep it the design with this particular material from having puckers.

    Thank you so much,

    Terri

I would try puttng a white light weight applique material under the solid area.
really easy to do and quick.
It also provides stability and can help with puckering.
sounds like you have enought thread in the design already.

Terri....Ted here if you have the AMAYA with the lower feed limit you might try changing that to a higher number.

Jerome & Ted - I will try both the applique and the lower feed limit, separately. I have 3 different dog designs to do on this type of shirt - only 1 design/shirt.
