stitches pulling through backing

Is there a setting that you can back off of on tightness of stitches the design sews out good but it is tearing out the bag material and backing sometimes it does but others it sews good i have xt and wilcom software. yes i am new to these machines had since oct. thanks norma

You will have to experiment with this as I do not know what you mean by "wilcom" software. In Amaya OS, you go under settings>thread feed. There you can adjust the column feed and the run/fill feed. Remember the lower the number for column feed and the higher the number for fill feed will feed more thread. Hope this is helpful.
