• Windows 7 64bit and OS 9.00.099

I upgraded to Windows 7 64bit and downloaded OS 9.00.099 from Melco and installed it. I am running it under Vista SP2 compatibility mode. The OS opens and shows my ethernet card but when I turn on my Amaya XT it does not show up in the OS. I can boot from my other harddrive that was Vista 32bit and OS works there. Any suggestions?

I think you need OS10. I rebuilt one of my computers and by accident put OS9 on the computer, and it would not see the Amaya. I was tearing my hair out until I noticed the other machines had OS10 on them.

I know you can run in OS9 if you run it under XP or Vista using compatibility mode. I see the network card but it does not see my Amayas. I still have to restart and run off my old harddrive with Vista to do any embroidering.

Finally talked to Melco about Windows 7 and OS 9. You have to run Windows 7 in compatibility mode of Vista sp2 also running as Administrator. With the above you should be able to see your network card. If you have more than one network card make sure the correct card is selected. Because I still did not see my Amayas in OS 9 the next thing that I was told to do was to delete two lines out of my registry. This made the software look for my network card and get the correct address.

Mr. Mike,
I'd like to say TY TY TY. A WHOLE BUNCHES. You saved my husband from racking his brains out. We bought a new PC with windows 7...GRRRRRRRR... and he had such a problem getting it to reconize the Amaya. We found your post and TADA. You helped us solve the problem. Again Thank Your input on this post.

Do you have the notes on which lines of the registry to remove. I have moved from one computer to another and am following all the notes (setup is the same as old computer which ran fine) and machine is not connecting.

Thanks.
