  • Amaya OS screen background color

In our shop, we do a lot of custom text under the main motif of the design, and most of the time this text is white. Ours is a fast-paced little operation- we try to send out custom one-offs within 48 hours of recieving the order. We sometimes make mistakes because it is hard to proof read white text on the white background of OS. My question is this- does anybody know (if we can) how to change the background color to make it easier to see the white text. 3D helps, but a light brown background would help immensely, which it what I use in Design Shop.

If you're talking the background color in OS that you see behind each machines loaded logo, go to "color settings" right click on needle 1, and set the number from 1 to 0, select your preferred color to set the background color of the screen. It's just like setting up colors on the thread tree. Sometimes it doesn't take the 1st time so don't be surprised if you have to try it a couple of times.

Thank you so much Kramer- it worked, of course. I never even thought that the background would be needle "0". You don't know how much you have helped us. This will cut way down on mistakes. Thanks again!!!

I have a babylock machine and I don't believe that it has the capability to change the background color. I have been getting around white on white by just telling my machine to stitch it in black and place the white thread at the black location. That is telling the machine that black is at a certain needle even though I have white there. The black letters show up great on the white screen and sew in white due to the location of the spool.

Worked great, now, what color is the default white to get back?

                  Thanks,

Just pick white from whatever palette you use.

Beside the big box on the left where you choose your thread color is a smaller little rectange (to the right)- right click on it and choose a thread color number and it will become your background color. You can also click on the "graphic background" tab to give it color and texture, but I don't use this feature- but it is there if you want it.
