You actually want to run OS and DS on 2 seperate computers. You can actually run all your programs on 1 computer except OS and then run OS on the second computer. I run all my programs on the computer that has DS with the exception of Quickbooks I prefer to run that on a computer by itself and I do not have it hooked up to the internet at all. Have been running my quickbooks on the same computer since 1999 on a 350mhz computer with no probs.Aaron Sargent
Pegboard
541-727-1440

I have one PC with quite a few programs on it and I have had Amaya OS freeze once or twice. Need some feedback from you all about just what would you have, ideally, on your Amaya computer. Design Shop, Amaya OS, Adobe photo shop and internet. I have had no problems at all ((yet))and I am running OS and Design shop for two different machines my XT and my EMT10T also have the internet on same computer, did have to put in another card to do so.. but I can run both machines from one place. seems to confusing to work with two computers especially with only one dongle??Carole
embhoop.com

If you have DS and OS you should have 2 dongles, 1 for each. I think there are quite a few people that use one computer for DS and OS but it is recommended to run each on a seperate computer. I have mine networked together so I can share files between the DS and OS computer. When I run Corel Draw and Design Shop they both run fine but adding OS in also might make them run pretty slow and the OS computer needs as much free memory and possible because it is constantly talking to the machines.Aaron Sargent
Pegboard
541-727-1440

Gee, I never thought of having DS and OS on different computers. I just thought is was Quick Books that was causing problems because too many window were open at the same time. I don't have additional digitizing software, just some to open .pms photos for promotional items.Creating the best First Impressions with custom embroidery.

Jo Leftwich
http://www.justsewitllc.com
