Help me PLEASE!!!!!

Ok, I will try and do my best to explain what happened so here it goes...

Sewed out test design ran perfect, great! Put in another piece of material to sew on (which is the same as the test material), same design same setting everything the same. Went in the other room for just a sec and heard a loud noise machine stopped and when I came out to see what had happened I found my needle way over from where it was sewing head position down and locked and needle bent. Recovered everything realigned and started sewing again and it did it again. Gave me a Z axis position error when it happened. Also, said the machine was disconnected as well even though it was not....I also got an X motor home time out error as well along with a Z axis timeout error...

Will not go to head up keeps giving me the z axis timeout message...

What happened and how can I fix it?

Tina,

Press the e-stop button and then see if you can freely move the pantograph from left to right easily or if its hard to move. If it moves pretty easily thats good and if it does not then it could be your X motor. I just had one go out. You should call Melco Tech support so they can walk you through some things to figure out if you need a tech out or not.

Thanks all who helped me on this one. I ended up calling Melco and from what we could figure out I somehow got some paper on my left sensor under the red hood, if that makes sense...Not sure what to call it but once I aired the sensor and fixed my threads and needle we sewed the same design and it worked perfectly.

I still have to work on my presser foot as it got bent when it hit my hoop but I am going to try it out for a couple of days and then if I need to call the tech out but I think we could be fine.

Saga continues....

Our machine got it's name today it is Smoky! Yes that is right smoky as it started smoking today and we are even a non-smoking enviroment here...lol

It was sewing away just fine put a new design in loaded and wham arms went all the way back and pulled the hoop right off with the head stuck down. Called Melco and they are contacting a tech to come out...
Guess we will have to finish our 4th of July orders the old way on our home machines....

Ok, ol' Smoky was running awesome this morning as the tech was here for 2 days fixing it and wouldn't you know our last shirt for an order we were doing it ran away again. All kinds of errors which I will list below and maybe someone can help me. The one thing that is puzzling however is I shut everything down including the computer and tried starting everything up and my OS will not open gives me an error message and it also tells me that my ethernet was unable to do something (cant remember). We are going to remove and reinstall OS and maybe that will help us out.

Here are the error messages I took off the OS before I closed everything down in the order they happened:
Cluster invalid, master machine detached
Machine Disconnected
MSPH30 Version Okay
Fifo empty
Ti-dsp bootloader
Downloaded ti-dsp program
ti-dsp initialization complete
motor driver altera detected
error trying to read stepper motor stat
msp430 version okay
X motor home timeout
master machine detached
z axis timeout error
unable to head up

That is the error messages in order. Oh, the tech replaced the Y & Z motor the other day.
Also, have the machine plugged into a line conditioner as well.

I am hoping someone here can help us figure this out...
