When sewing the flex fit structured hats we get needle breaks but do not have the problem with other hats.

The ones I have embroidered, have a bulge in the front and never tighten down on the frame well. I have used extra backing in the center to prevent some of the flagging.
Anyone else have suggestions?

If you are sewing at a speed faster than 1000 spm, slow the machine down till it sew without needle breaks. Note the places in the design where the breaks occur if it's not in every part of the design- you might get away with using the "setting by color" tool to just slow it down in these parts. If this doesn't help, try lowering the presser foot one more click- if you have it all the way down, put it up a click.GregoryComment
