false bobbin brakes

i tried everything to find out "why" but found no solution for my problem. except disabelig it in the os software...but that is no real solution...even in the tech-manual i found no help...
(on the roadshow in tpa, this morning after a talk to a tech...no solution too.....)
maybe another can give me the right idea

Don't know what anyone else has told you...no informationtion to go on here.....but....false threadbreaks can come from several varibles. It can be a loose thread condition from the machine settings that is affecting the function of the threadbreak sensor or the threadbreak sensor is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced.

A new thread break sensor fixed my bobbin break issues. I used to disable thread break sensing. $100+ but probably worth it. Definately better than the bobbin stitch counter, which was mysterious in when it could be reset to 0.

i might ending there...but i dont understand, what can change in a pipe over the years? except the two sensors? is there a coating inside or outside the pipe?

found the problem...it was a broken wire from the left sensor

ok I too am still getting false bobbin reports.
Checked the wires on mine, all check out with ohm meter.
I adjusted bobbin tension looser and tighter, still reporting.
adjusted top thread feed rate both higher and lower by 25 eitherway, adjusted the material thickness setting. still reporting.
BUT it stops reporting if I pull the bobbin thread threw to the top.
Sensor bad or going bad? ( this is my guess )

I also used the default settings, still reports.
reports on satin and pattern stiching and running stiching.....

machine is a 2004 with OS 5 running it.

There are two screws which hold the sensor in place on the front of the machine. Try tightening those. I had one that was slightly loose. Tightened the screws and happily, the problem went away!

in my case, it was indeed not the broken wire, it was bad soldered,where the wire are soldered to the sensor. be carefull at this point resolderng it. it could destroy your sensor very fast.

ok now no more false reports, but it doesnt detect bobbin out either. ummmmmmmm.

Fixed it, for some reason the box was checked, but the software didnt see it. I unchecked and hit apply, rechecked it and hit reply. Now it works.........
