  • X-motor tracking error

I had this critter (X motor tracking error) show-up on my screen once, from then on (after pushing red & re-starting) my amaya has acted strange. In particular, if I move the frame in the x-axis it no longer moves in little increments............it JUMPS in big increments. Scary!!!! Anyone have comments on this one?

That just happened to me Monday. I put the hoop on the machine, hit start, it went 2 stitches and the hoop slammed to the right and snapped the thread. The needle was waaaaay out of the hoop but didn't break. I had the same error message. Hope it isn't a sign of things to come cuz my 2 year warrenty is up in August. Never had to have a tech out but, sure as my warrenty runs out, it will happen. I'd also like to know why the machine is doing this! THANKS for any help!!! Debbie

Under the carriage arm there is a sensor on the left side towards the middle that you may need to clean with a soft lint free cloth.

Also.. On top of the vertical arm there are 2 sets of wires 1-rainbow color and the other smaller and to the right which is connected down to the sensor... Make sure all were connected and not bent or cut.

The part that scares me peacheythreads is that it's jumping in big increments. You may want to consult support on that one. Debbie, it might help you.
