• adjusting selector

I was reading the posts on the short tail on the bobbin which lead to the selector being out of adjustment. My question is: does it take a tech to readjust the selector or can I do it on my own? I have had Rod replace a bent cable before but it's a long way to Boise or from Boise My machine does it but not all the time, for example in a design with 4300 stitches, all letters, it is doing it 2 sometimes 3 times on one hooping then not on a couple hoopings!! Any suggestions? Thank you all!!

Have you tried cleaning & lubricating the assembly? Do that and send both the selector and trimmer "home", reinstall the needle plate & give that a try.

Let us know how it goes. And be sure to put in a new needle and do a bottom center to center the needle plate when you re-install it. Best wishes!

I think this helped but I'm not convinced that it's "fixed"! Still once in a while in odd out of the blue places it will just break thread. If it is or was the selector, would I be able to adjust that or do I need a tech to do it? Thank you!!
