  • Machine Group on Operating System disappeared

    I have 2 AMAYA XT machines that are grouped together. When I turn both machines on, they appear on the left side of the screen. I can toggle back and forth between the 2 of them.
    Last night all of a sudden the function disappeared. I looked up in my book to see how to select the group but nothing is working.
    Where do I go to make this appear. I think there is a comment on 8-2 of the OS book but the information does not appear on the screen when I call it up.
    Please help, I have work to get done today, since I could not finish it up last night.

    This may depend on what level of software you are working with, but this screen "look" you are referring to is called the "Advanced Mode".

    In AOS, go into "Tools", "Preferences" and at the bottom of the display page, if the "Advanced Mode" is not checked, check it and the close out AOS and reopen it to activate the new screen.

    If you don't see this on the display page then for starters I would advise you t reload your software and see if that corrects the problem....make sure all of your firewalls and or virus programs are turned off/disabled before you reload the sofftware.

      HI Rod,
      I was running in the advanced mode and then all of a sudden it disappeared. I tried reloading the software, did not change.
      I disabled my spyware, firewall, protection and reloaded software and still nothing.
      This is what it says
      Tools: Options: Preference:
      Large Toolbar Buttons - this is Not checked
      Large Icon Machine List - this is checked
      Log Statistical Information Enable - this is checked
      Operator Log Enable - This is Not checked

      It does Not have the Advanced Mode field on the screen.
      The only thing I have done different was download the new 2011 version of Quickbooks.

      I can still run my 2 machines, but is frustrating going back and forth between machines.

      Any help you can give would be great. Thanks so much!

          Silly question but have you tried just removing and reinstalling the software? The AOS software that is.

            I did not removed, just put the software in and reloaded. Should I actually remove the OS from my computer and then reinstall?

              I've grouped them by holding the shift key and selecting each machine. In the lower right hand corner under all the other possible machine selections, such as colors, acti feed, hoop size it should haveq line or the option of choosing status, advanced status, design queue. Try selectining your status choice there if it is there.

                I uninstalled the OS software and reinstalled it. That did the trick. It must have had a corrupt file because my advance features showed back up. Thank you very much for all the advice. I really appreciate it!
