Hello, everyone, I'm the new gal on the block. I feel fortunate to have found this site.

After reviewing the archives and see nothing on this subject, I'm going to ask if anyone has any tips for sewing out script fonts. Today, I'm working with the Athletic Flair, approx .75" tall. Whenever it goes over itself, thread break. I've tried adjusting the fabric thickness to no avail; made sure goods are tightly hooped, appropriate backing, presser foot adjusted, double checked the needle to make sure it's new, and correctly positioned, slowing down the stitching. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I'm trying to stitch out "Your One Stop Dance Shop" on a knit jacket.

love Amaya...oh, and I use the magnacore bobbins, she loves them best. (I do have some of the old style in the drawer for emergencies).

The height of Athletic Flair isn't a problem. Try adjusting pull comp to 125, underlay edge walk at 60% - 70% and density of 4. short stitch should be on. You are welcome to email me the file in OFM and I can take a look at it when I get home from my full time job tonight.

In addition to my DS software, I recently purchased Viking's new 4D Professional software. One of the terrific new features is "Remove Overlap" when saving designs, as well as "Design Optimizer" which removes unnecessary stitches. I would be happy to pull your design into the Viking software and see if I can help.
