Help! I am trying to sell my 2004 machine that has little mileage. As far as I know right now it needs the head timing set because I've been screwing with it and I don't know whawt I'm doing. I was insulted by two offers. Practically nothing. A widow with no inheritance at all, and having a hard time making ends meet, I need to sell this machine. Is there a reasonable market for old technology? I don't have Design Shop to go with it. Is 3.8K too much? I am giving some extras and the machine has really low mileage. I don't want to be stupid about this. I really need the money to pay some of the debts left by my husband - I was co-signature.

I don't want to up set you, But 3800.00 will be On the high side for a machine with No warranty No software and in need of a of a $1000. tech visit.
I understand that the machine has Low Milage (as you put it). Just the fact that there are too many unknown problems that could be there.

I know you are short on funds but If you could work out with a tech to fix the machine for his payment from the sale you may be able to command a much higher price.
This is easier said then done I know, But I don't know if you have a tech you have worked with or not.
There was an 2008 XP for sale here last month for $6000 and I just looked it had no replies to the initial post. (though it may have sold )
Your machine is 8 years old and that one is 4.

I wish you luck in finding a buyer.
