Grabber bar issues and missed trims

Howdy folks in Amayaland - one of my two redheads is starting to give me some issues. On about 20% of trims, the grabber bar doesn't seem to slide nicely into its counterpart. This results in a grinding sound and the thread not getting cut, being dragged across the garment until it finally "pops" and shreds the thread. This causes the hooped item to sometimes move a tad. Is this something I can simply fix?

You need to grease the large brass cylinder (approx 1" in dia) behind the needle case, upper left corner. You'll need to color change to needle #1.
