Windows 7

I searched and founf no results for this question.
Does anyone know if windows 7 will work with Amaya. We have XP now and heard that Vista doesn't work well and need a new computer.

I'm running Ver.9 on Windows 7 without any problems.

Anne....hope I'm not speaking out of turn nut I have a laptop that I went from VISTA to Windows 7. It didn't work well until I got a version 10 from a computer geek customer and it has worked fine ever since.

I haven't beeen able to run Amaya OS V9 with Windows 7 so if someboyd has the secret, please share it.

Version 10 of Design Shop? I thought the latest version was 9...?

You have to run it in "XP Mode" and it runs fine on Windows 7.

THANKS GF! I had no idea I could do that. I guess now I can run some of my older programs too.
So version 10 of Amaya OS, do we have to pay extra for that? I could swear I read somewhere that Melco got rid of some functions instead of fixing them with the new version, not sure if Design Shop or OS.
Does anyone know if they have fixed the batch convertor?

I just spoke with Melco. The latest version for Design Shop Pro+ and XT is Ver. 9.098. Version 10 is only for the Bravo. Different animal.

I have Windows 7 Professional on my main computer and am using DS 9.00.099 with no problem that I am aware of.

I have Windows 7 Home on the computer that runs the 3 Reds with AOS 9.00.099. I have a small, but annoying problem on this computer. After starting AOS it loads the first design without any problem. But then each design, regardless whether it is to a different machine or not, takes longer and longer to load. And this can mean minutes. After a few designs I close AOS and reopen to speed this up. I have no idea why this is happening.

Thanks for all the interest! I called Melco and they are sending me a new version that he said will work with Windows 7. He asked me what version I had and he said it was not the latest.
