New color thread rollers?

Just recived an order from Melco which contained a thread roller kit for an Amaya XT we always order. This time the the gears are black with clearish grey rollers. I contacted Melco and the reply was short: "You received the newest type which are black and grey." Not that I don't believe what I was told in the email but I"d like to know if it's accurate before I install them and waste $120

The only other mention on this forum concerning black and grey rollers was way back with a few messages talking about converting FROM black to yellow.

Just wondering if these new rollers are a step back, brand new or was I sent the wrong ones?

Its ok, you have received the latest upgraded rollers. The old black ones you mention had soft black rubber on them with white or gray nylon centers. These did not wear well for the most part.

The yellow rollers had white nylon centers and were a 1000% improvement over the older black ones. I have had no complaints about the new surface material on these newly upgraded rollers from any of the new machines we have serviced. They appear to be just as good as the yellow versions.
