Machine Problem

I am having a machine problem. I was stitching yesterday and machine stopped inbetween needles 12 & 13, So I booted down the software then the machine. When I started it back up it will just beep 3 times the presser foot will click then stay in the down postion, I turn the shaft to take it up, but I can't do anything in the software or with the machine. but if I turn the machine off I can select things in the software and I have the screen that shows everything except the design. I have a couple of error messages show up the first one is communication time out , and then Center hoop command failure, can any one help me.
