  • color change calibration

I just replaced the presser foot on one of my XT machines. I went through the color change calibration and saved it. My problem is when I click on the home button or start the machine, it goes too far to the left, causing the #16 needle to drop. If I can hold the needle up while it seeks home, everything is fine until I start the machine again.
    Can anyone help??

Hi Gary, If the color calibration was done correctly #16 shouldn't be dropping off. It sounds as if the Calibration is off by 1 hole needle. When you started the calibration are you sure you started with Needle Number 1? Perhaps there was a binding and the needle case could not go all the way to number 1?

Thanks for your help. The problem was the spacer that goes on the right end of the color change screw had fallen out while I was putting the needle case on.
