  • bobbin thread trimming too short

Lately my machine has been saying I have a thread break when it actually has not picked up the bobbin thread because it is too short. I have it set it on normal trim. It doesn't do it all the time. Is my bobbin case wearing out? Thanks for your feedback!!

START with making sure u dont have a bent trimmer cable. On back of aAmaya rmove the large lower metal cover. U will see 2 metal push rods, make sure they r not bent. If so, thats ur problem. If not then u just ned to adjust the trimmer assy.

I think a couple of things you could check before dismantling the machine would be to make sure the bobbin case is clean & the tension is correct; if that doesn't correct the problem, try setting the trim lenght to "long". Another thing- make sure the pigtail isn't bent; if you have another machine, switch them out, if not, do you keep a spare(s) on hand?

We tend to have this problem when our bobbin case, trimmer and/or rotary hook area start to get full of lint. It usually clears up if I give everything a good cleaning and oiling.
