  • Thread Break

I have 4 machines but one gives me fits...no matter what I try the thread constantly breaks...I duplicate the setting of my other 3 but alas, threads keep breaking. Any ideas? Do I need a tech?

When is the last time you have had the machines adjusted and serviced? If the answer is never or more than a few years, it might be a good idea to call a tech.

They're three years old and never serviced.

We don't use our XT much at all, sits many times for week or two without use...but I still get it serviced once a year at warranty renewal time-even though it is on factory warranty. Worth the bucks-because just one problem slowing us down (or shutting us down) can cost as much as the service work. Plus, since it looks like we are going to be selling it, it has that advantage of 'constant service' like a certified car...I can get top dollar for it.

Hi John, I'm a Certified Amaya Tech, and Amaya Owner, located in South Eastern Michigan. Give me a call and we can walk through some procedures over the phone.
          Thanks,

I'd start with making sure the Thread Feed Drive gear is not broken or cracked. Simple procedure and you can replace yourself. Laser up arrow. Use a flash light, look through the long slots in the front cover. Make sure the gear is not wobbling and always engaging the thread feed assembly gear.
