Ed Ornates I have Amaya Problems

This amaya machine is one of the old red one it usually works fine but today I got the message Color change stepper index error-off index while sewing. What can I do to get it sewing again?

This would probably mean that the optical laser sensor and/or it's flag for the color change index has become contaminated with dirt,dust,lint,oil or a combination of same. You need to try blowing the sensor out with compressed air.

You also have another optical sensor on the Big Red that controls the number 9 Home position of the of the needlecase(Big Reds only).

Thats great......this is one area on the Big Reds that can give you a big problem if it isn't cleaned on a regular basis, especially when working with fleece and cap buckram dust and lint.
