I have a 2007 XT. When ever I sew a really wide Satin stitch the machine makes a really loud noise like something needs to be oiled in the rear top area. I do regular maintenance on all the areas as instructed in the manual but there must be something else that needs attention. Otherwise the machine sounds very good. Any Ideas?

Added note...It makes the noise in the X axis direction only. Or left to right. I think it has something to do with the cable, pulleys or motor for the X axis?? Help!!!Chris & Cindy -
If no one mentioned it to you, any satin stitch over 1/4" wide is going to cause trouble and not recommended. If you MUST go this wide, slow the machine way down. Otherwise find one of the 'split' patterns that will simulate satin stitch but breaks it up to prevent the wide thread.Comment
