  • wrong needle for color change

My machine has decided to go to the wrong needle for a color change that is clearly correct in the software--in fact, I've done 10 items correctly before it did this. Any ideas?

Have you changed any settings? any storms lately? look for "what changed".

That's my point--nothing changed. I hadn't gone near the computer nor near the machine. It had to stitch the same color three times in succession and pulled it correctly for the first two color changes...

I'd try setting the color sequence manually with a "hold" after each color change to try & determine what is going on, unless one of the more knowledgeble people jump in here.

every now and then mine does the same thing. I call it loosing its mind.

I will sew 25 shirts just fine then the 26th it goes to the wrong color.

I reload it and all is good.

this happens very rarely but it does happen.

Yes it does, and the sad part is losing the (sometimes) expensive garment; and "stitch erasing" is SO time consuming, that it costs me less in the long run to just throw it on the floor and do it over (after reloading, like cmack said, of course).

I had a customer once who loaded everything in and then reset the whole design. I asked her whu she did it. She said that was the way rhey made sure that the colors stayed like they set them. I don't know why but it sure worked,

I've also witnessed this phenomenom, but only when the design is loaded for the first time. We'll rotate it 360 degrees and look for the colors to change. What version of OS are you running?

I've had the same problem. If the above posts dont correct it, there is a sequence in the software that will correct this. For some reason it is sending the wrong message. If problem persists let me know and I will give the software correction to you
