I am trying to learn how to use my Amaya XT. Im making progress but it is slow. I have the "basic" package as far as hoops etc. I know I will be getting the poket fram, but I need advice on what else I will need as far as hoops/frames go. I would also like to know if any one as any suggestions on how to speed up the learning process a bit. I would really like to start putting this thing to work. (Would also like to purchase additional machines and the Melco jet, but first things firs.

I would think the best and fastest way to learn is to hire a trainer to come to your place and spend a few days with you.
One of my best hoops is a Durkee hoop:
And the Mighty Hoops are simply wonderful. I have never yet put any design on a pocket, so you might want to rethink a pocket hoop. And the SlimLine system is very good for certain things.
Do you digitize? Learning that just takes a long time. But you can get everything you need digitized by someone else while you learn.
And welcome to the world of embroidery where long flat learning curves are the norm.

If you got any of the tutorial DVD's- they can be a big help- just keep in mind theat they are very "sugary" meaning that they tend to over-simplify. I watched them, and then tried till I got where I am. But, as I view things, as far as the Amayas go, we will never get through learning about them and all that they do because they are constantly evolving. JMTCW!Gregory
