Small lettering

I've been working for a scrub company and doing alot of small lettering. My drop test is good and I've got the autofeed lower limit set at 2. Just wondering if anyone has gone in and changed the column feed as my bobbin thread still shows thru?

How long has it been since the area under the needle plate has been cleaned? How about hook timing?
