I am a new Amaya XTS user, and new embroiderer. I am doing a 50 hat order for a customer/friend. (He is paying me and I am trying to build an embroidery business.) I had his logo digitized and my test sew outs on broadcloth went great. My first 3 caps sewed out well, but on next 2, the fill stitches are look pulled apart and are not covering in the sky area of the design. The rest of the design looks about the same. I did change the bobbin before the problem showed up and I adjusted the bobbin tension. Could a too tight bobbin cause this issue? The caps are 6 panel structured caps with a stiff buckram lining the front. I am using 1 layer of 2.5oz tearaway backing. #40 Madeira Poly Thread. 75/11 Sharp Titanium needles. Using the Auto-feed standard setting for caps of 8. I think my presser foot was set about 5 clicks up from the bottom. I am running about 600 spm. I am new to posting, but I always find good advice on this forum. Any advice would be welcome! I am attaching photos of a good sew out and my problem sew out.

One thing you need to do is lower the pressed foot down three clicks. The statdard is to move the foot all the way down and up two. Sometimes we only have it up one. Standard for thickness is between 5 and 7 so I would use 6.

Make sure you locking your cap frame in the driver on all points. also make sure your thumb screws are tight.
it looks to me like your getting play in the hooping when it is doing the fill.
Are you using cap backing?
as for the presser foot I always allow the machine tell me when it is right.
listen to your machine and raise the foot while running till you do not hear the loud thump of the foot. Then you will be perfect this way you never have presser foot marks or damage, and you will not get any flagging.
you may also want to wipe the rails that the pantograph glides forward and backward on and do the maintenance on them on them. also check that the cables are tight. these are located under the clear covers on the machine sides.
