  • Splitting a design for multiple hoopings

    Hi everyone,
Based on the instructions on "match points", I am starting to learn how to sew out large images with multiple hoopings.

I am finding that when I try to divide the image up, I am seeing that the design does not simply "cut out" all of the image in the selection box. Pieces are missing inside the box, and some images that relate to the section chosen are well outside the box making the task of splitting the image up into nice, hoopable sizes impossible (at least for me).

If I understand the concept of "match points" correctly, this technique requires that each section of the image be divided up into the dimensions that fit within the hoop, and then the design continues to be sewn out as it is connected with the previous part.

How do I configure the design to respond to this technique if it is digitized in such a way that the image cannot be simply cut in uniform pieces that fit within the sizes I need?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the image I purchased that I want to sew out:

    Thanks!!

Update: The kind people at this site split this image in half for me, so I will look and see what they did.
