How do I embroider knit hats? Ya know there stretchy kind, beanies. I have more flat machines than tubular, so would prefer flat method. Any replies will be appreciated.

I do knit hats in my clamp or with my magnetic mighty hoops. would never do them in the hat frame.
Most of my competition does knit caps without stretching to the way they are worn and the material puckers around the design when worn.
I always Stretch them to the extent they are normally worn and they look perfect when on.
they do cup around the design when not on the head. but my customers prefer them to look good on rather then off.

I use a cut away unless it is a design I use a lot and then I stitch a foundation using washaway stabilizer.

by the way your machine is designed to stitch tubular weather in flat or cap set up.
the ready made garments are all tubular tee shits, polos, sweats, pants, jackets most everything.
