  • Thread feed-Run/Fill feed

I was looking back at older posts (I try to do this every morning) to gain more embroidery knowledge and saw a posts re: run/fill feed. It was suggested to increase this to help stitches lay on top of material as opposed to sinking in. Makes sense to me...so now I am wondering how much can I, or should I, change the column feed? Will this also help with puckering issues that arise on columns, or do I stay with increasing pull comp., decreasing density and of course all the other things that can cause puckering ie:hooping, backing ....& so on. At the moment, all machines are set at 42 for the column feed. Will I encounter thread breaks or false bobbin warnings if I set this too high? I know I have increased it a bit if I have some bobbin showing on top, but how far can I go? I'd love a few suggested numbers if possible. Am I better off just changing the lower limit when in the auto acti-feed? Help me understand when I should adjust which part please. Thanks.
Working...
