  • HINTS for SEWOUT on NETTING

Can I assume it is a little similar to sewing out an FSL design? My netting is really soft white stuff, similar to mosquito netting. My netting stretches to become a 4-sides umbrella to go over food.

I am hooping with solvy on both sides. Any advice for designing for netting and sewing out on same is welcome.

Hello, Amayaki I have done a fair amount of FSL, some of it on illusion backing. I like to use Vilene stabilizer. I did not use anything on the top, just Vilene on the back. It is not stretchable, as you are discussing, though. You may want to make some samples, to see how much you should stretch the netting. I would also suggest a design with a light stitch count.
