Stabilizer

Question: I am going to do some Soccer Jackets, Nike, that are waterproof. The club was going to have them screen printed but the screen printer was afraid to do them. He suggested embroidery with a waterproof stabilizer.
I have never heard of that.

Is there such a stabilizer and if so, where do I purchase it. If not, does anyone know the best to use. Thank you.
