  • Bobbins

I have a question. We have never had any problem with any bobbins and I can't remember what kind we used before but I had bought some Sure Stitch Ultra-Bobs. I've had this box for a while and not sure where I ordered them from, but we just started to use these bobbins and we seem to be having a lot of bobbin breaks. We have changed the bobbin case and tried several things and it's sewing right now but for the past two days we have had a problem. Please let me know what type to use since I no longer have the box my old bobbins came in to see what to buy. These bobbins say: 100% High Tenacity Polyester Style L V-15. I know I should know which bobbins I have bought in the past but I don't. Also on these bobbins it says Amann USA. I know when I bought them I told the lady what kind of machine I had and most likely told her the kind of bobbin I was using at that time. I know this is long but I need to correct this problem asap so I can finish up several jobs I have going and a few that are coming in this week. The thread on these bobbins doesn't look or feel like the old ones. Any help will be greatly appreicated. Thanks, Jenny

    Jenny,
Bobbins tend to be a personal preference.

We use the NEB clear plastic sided bobbins and just have absolutely no issues with them. No tension problems, no lint buildup under the spring, no breakage problems, etc, etc...very happy with them. You can check on line and find the best prices, many places offer them....... ( L ) size is what you need.

      Thanks Rod,

These are the L size but they just aren't the kind we have used. I guess when I ordered them the person just sent me what kind they wanted to send and I didn't look at them when they came in.
Don worked on the bobbin case and it sewed out the next item ok so we will see. I just don't want to have a lot of trouble with the bobbin doing shirts for custoomers. Thanks and have a great day...until next time...Jenny
