  • Help Loud Popping Noise

I hate to ask this question again but I need to get some shirts embroidered tonight if possible and I had these notes in my computer but lost over 6 years of notes about a year ago. I have gone back to my notes two other times with this problem and fixed it right away. Now I need to search on here for the answer but if Rod or Sharron or someone else can tell me again what to do I would appreciate it so much. I just turned the machine on and when it went to move it has the loud popping noise each time it passes a needle. I can't remember now what we did in the past to adjust the needle or make the popping sound stop. Any help will be greatly appreciated and I will try to find it in the old posts. Thanks, Jenny

We just got it fixed. We remembered some of what we did but I finally found it in searching on the list here. I have again made a note of this fix. Also thanks Tonja from AZ for calling me on the phone to help me out. That was so sweet of you to come to our aid although we had just fixed it ourselves.

What search term did you use? I have that noise occasionally.

Maureen I used Loud Popping Noise. We knew what the problem was but couldn't remember how we fixed it. In case you need to know how to fix the problem I will tell you what we did. On the key pad we hit the laser and the up botton for each needle. This is the way we have fixed this each time but another way others have said to fix it is this way. Go to Maint. and then to Stepping. I'm not excatly sure about the rest but something about Home and click and do the same thing for each needle. It releases the thread to that needle and it aligns the needles so the gears in the back stop hitting and making that loud popping noise. Now I know some of our Tech people and more experienced embroiderers can explain this better than I can. I know you can't sew with this because you will break something and have to have the tech come out and fix it. So far we have had this problem 3 times in the past 6 years. We got our shirts finished and delivered last night. Have a great day and until next time...Jenny

Thanks Ed Orantes for calling us this morning. It was good to hear from you Ed. Don and I thank you for explaining another way to fix our problem. I will say this, to anyone that hears this loud popping noise to please shut off the machine until you get the problem fixed. Don and I have never tried to use our machine when this happens and anyone that hears this noise and continues to use their machine should be aware that this loud noise is not ok. I thank everyone on this board who helps another embroiderer with solving their problems. Again Thanks Ed and have a great day. Until next time...Jenny
