They are from Melco they are needed to use the Sash frame that is the FULL size sewng field the amaya can sew.

20.7" x 16.8"
they mount on the outside holes but they bend out further so wider hoops can be attached.

They are spendy $179 for a set.

Oh, OK, so they bend out even further than putting the sashes in the outside holes.
So do you need those for the 11x13 mighty hoop? Or do you just need them for the 13x16?

it is 16" wide.

Do you know if the actual embroidery area is 16" wide like the jacket back hoop? I thought 16" was the size of the hoop itself, making the embroidery area quite a bit smaller.

1if it is like all their other hoops they use the actual Opening size as the discriptive name
the 5.5" has about a 4.5 sewing field
the 7.25" hoop has a 6.25" sewing field a bit less.
so the 13x16 would hav a sewing field of 12x15 or so.

I'll have to play with making a hoop limit walk stitch that approximates their hoop and see how many of my designs will work with this hoop. Then perhaps I can make my pitch for buying one.

I ended up using two sheets of mesh laid diagonally on each other. I couldn't find adhesive spray and I only have cap tear away backing.

Also do you if there's a difference in threadfeed n material thickness?

I love the Mighty Magnetic Hoops. Did not know that they come in a 7.5, will need to get ones of those. Come on business PICK UP!!!!!

The new hoop is 7.25 not 7.5.
