  • Looking for Adina font or similar

Hello All...I'm looking for a script font called Adina, or something similar. It's available in the 3d/4d embroidery, but I haven't seen caps/little letters/numbers available outside of that software...only caps at one other place.

Of particular interest is the small size it affords by using the bean stitch in narrow areas. Here's a link to what it looks like.

Thanks in advance for your help...Anita

My husband said to open your husqvarna software, find font, save as HUS and OS will open it. Is your software on Viking XP? It has to be.. Hope it works. We have both, and he says it will.

Anita, thanx for the tip about bean stitch for a smaller font, and for the site address, however I noted that Husqvarna say 12mm minimum.

What letter height is the smallest that goes with Adina font + beansticth in your experience with Amaya?

Would you have a pic of same you could show?

I've seldom seen classy 6mm lettering, and I'd like to master the method.

      Thanks again.

Thanks for the responses, but that's the problem. I don't own Viking software...so, I am looking for something similar to purchase.

And consequently I don't have any experience with Adina with my Amaya. 12mm converts to nearly 1/2"...Diane Script minimum is .35", but I don't like the look for my purpose and I didn't get very good results with smaller sizes even within the recommended range.

I have had great success with .20" Executive Font on 50/50 T-shirts for one contracting business I do work for. I figured a script with less satin stitching would be just as doable.

BTW - On the t-shirts, I use 60wt thread with smaller needles and 2 layers cutaway, dark heather fabric...no problem.

Anyone know of a similar font to Adina I can purchase, please let me know.

        Thanks!

needle size 65/9, does that sound right? I'm not near my equipment right now.

12mm = 1/2" That is not, IMHO, a small letter.

I agree Julie .5" isn't THAT small. And it won't do for my purpose, .20-.25" would.

I just like the look of Adina for secondary/smaller text on the project I'm designing. Other scripts I like are quite large in comparison.
