  • 3" Letter M

I'm trying a to do a 3" letter M, New Times Roman on a towel. Using black bobbin, density set at 4 and go to fill at 80pt. Its on a white towel with black thread and I'm seeing a lot of the white towel showing through. Using wss as a toping also.

    Any ideas would be appreciated!

On toweling you need a heavy underlay.

I have even gone to the extent of appliqueing a piece of light weight fabric of the same color as the top thread. thn I needed minimal under lay and could reduce the density, made the towel much softer and the stitch time much less. also needed no other toping.

      Just another option.

I do all terry with two layers. First layer has a density of 10 so it knocks down the nap. Then I copy and paste directly on top of the first set of letters. That density is 4. I also make the lettering as wide as possible to keep it looking nice. Thin lettering gets lost in terry.
