  • design placement on caps

hi does anyoneknow how to move the design to a different place on the cap besides just being centered?
example: bring it as close to the brim as i can or jus move it so its not centered and on one of of the front panels? or even just on one side of the cap?
    thanks

Good morning, I have found that hats need to be centered for each and every one but the placement from the brim is consistant, so just mark where you want the design centered when you set it up and position the needle on that point and sew. the machine still nows the limits for the hoop, it does not care where you locate the design in those limits as long as it does not violate them.

Thanks kinda figured out how to move the design around in the limit box.
Can the design be right on the limit box for caps? So that the design is stitched right above the brim? Was kinda worried that it'll hit the strap on the cap hoop. Is the limit line far enough away from the strap that it won't hit the strap?
      Thanks

In my experience, it works fine to push to the bottom edge of the limit to get the design as close as possible to the brim. Depends on how well you hoop... the limits are there for a reason.

Generally speaking I havn't had any issues but - I ALWAYS TRACE before I sew - period.

I always trace too-period-just like John said-too much risk not to! That being said, I have had a great deal of success with the Conventinal Cap Frame (CCF) rather than the WACF as far as getting as close to the brim as possible.
