bobbin thread showing for fill but not satin

Hi all,
I'm still fine tuning my skills and was wondering in general what would be your suggestions to rectify what seems to happen very often. Say if I have a design along with some text all in the same session. The satin stitched letters are beautiful but a tiny bit of bobbin thread shows around the edges of the design that uses fill stitches. All the same thread color and needle. I have underlay under the design and the letters. The bobbin tension seems to be ok going by drop test. And have tried adjusting the bobbin tension many times, but in general, I seem to have bobbin thread show a little using fill stitches.

Oh, forgot to add that Auto Actifeed is on. And I always use sufficient stabilizers.

try increasing the material thickness setting.

also seems like your bobbin tension is in need of tightening.

are you doing the drop test before or after the pig tail.

do it before.

OK, thanks! I'll try the material thickness.
When I tighten the bobbin tension, I get much more upper thread breakage -- especially if I'm using rayon thread (which is mostly what I use)
