  • recommendations stitching on insulated bags

My niece brought me a "one of" insulated bag to embroider a name on. About 2" tall. Both sides of the insulation are nylon.

It's thick enough for no stablizer, but I feel certain it the needle will punch out the back side without it.

    Any advice?

Thanks in advance for your input!

uh...the lettering is to be 2" tall...not the bag is 2" tall.

LOL...funny what you don't see until you hit "post"

I embroider canvas bags with the nylon liner all the time. I never use backing unless it is an unusually dense design. No problems or complaints as of yet. But I can't ever remember doing them with the nylon on the outside and the inside.

I had the same issue a few years ago. Do a search for LUNCH KITS and u will see the reply I got. I never bought the stuff, but I sure would like to get my hands on the stuff that signman suggested. I need some right now for a couple coolers I need to do. This customer don't mind me using duck tape, but I would like to get something that looks nice.

I found a local sign company and stopped by during lunch. He sold me a 12x30 inches piece of white vinyl for $5
They guy at the store said they use this vinyl on car decal/skins. I told him what I was trying to cover and he said it "should"work. LOL.... I bought a piece of white, but he had all colors.
